Omokri Mocks Oshiomhole’s Face Again: Talk Diplomatically Even If You’re Not Handsome

Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, has taken yet another swipe at the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, over his looks.

Recall that Omokri, a media aide to former President Goodluck Jonathan, had recently claimed that the once “handsome APC” now looks like “Oshiomhole’s face” ever since the APC Chairman took over the ruling party’s affairs.

But apparently reacting today to a statement credited to Oshiomhole, where he claimed on Friday that defecting APC chieftains were seeking juicy appointments, Omokri urged the APC Chairman to at least speak diplomatically even if he is allegedly not good-looking.

The former presidential aide said in a tweet: “At least if you are not good looking, you should try to be good talking. If your face isn’t diplomatic, at least your mouth should be diplomatic.

“How can Oshiomhole have a face like that yet he makes no effort to compensate for such an appearance by having a friendly disposition,” said Omokri.

He added that, “As a prominent PDP voice, I can say that neither myself nor Femi Fani-Kayode, or Governor Ayodele Fayose, have done as much to destroy Buhari and APC as Oshiomhole. In retrospect, if John Oyegun made mistakes while in office as APC Chairman, Oshiomhole is himself a mistake.”

Speaking earlier in Benin, the Edo State capital, Comrade Oshiomhole said in reaction to the gale of defections in APC: “We must support the President and the APC to remove all those looters, who believe it is their birth right to continue to loot (and) those who say that their purpose in government is for juicy (appointments) and not for the welfare of the people.”

“At this point, I am very clear; we will have to fight on, on the basis of our conviction. And we will adopt our style.

“We will not borrow other people’s style. I am very proud of my working-class background and we will bring that value into the leadership and management of the All Progressives Congress.”

“I will work together with our governor and ensure that any concerns that you have are addressed satisfactorily. And I want to assure you that the tradition of carrying our people along will be sustained.

“You represent what I call our infantry division; you are the ones who ensure that our voters come out on election day. You were the ones who ensured that the PDP rigging machine was defeated.

“We must keep you as a standing force. Together, we will march on and we will ensure that everyone who worked is looked after. I know that there are people with all kinds of stories but let me assure you, after the storm, the weather will settle,” added the APC Chairman.
