One Dead, 3 Injured As Bus Crushes Motorcycle In Anambra

A female adult was, Wednesday, crushed to death while three male adults were seriously injured in a road crash involving a white Toyota bus with registration number AHH 605 RM and a KC/Sanya motorcycle without a registration number.

The accident occurred at Ichida in Igboukwu, along Igboukwu-Nnewi road.

Eyewitnesses told our correspondent that the crash occurred as a result of excessive speeding, leading to loss of control by driver of the bus.

The Anambra State sector public education officer, RC Kamal Musa, said, “The motorcycle passenger died on the spot while three male adults who sustained varying degrees of injuries were rushed to Apex Hospital, Igboukwu, by the FRSC rescue team from Igboukwu Unit Command. They also deposited the corpse at the morgue after the doctor’s confirmation.”

Meanwhile, the sector commander, Federal Road Safety Corps, Anambra State, CC Andrew A. Kumapayi, while commiserating with the deceased family, and wishing the injured victims quick recovery, urged motorists to be cautious, especially these ember months.
