Onnoghen: EFCC Invites Fani-Kayode, Odumakin Over ‘False Report’

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), today, Wednesday, invited former aviation minister, Femi Fani-Kayode and Afenifere chieftain and activist Yinka Odumakin to answer questions over a false report they had circulated.

Fani-Kayode had posted a tweet on Tuesday that EFCC operatives had surrounded the residence of the Chief Justice, Walter Onnoghen while Odumakin, posted a video saying he had learnt of the EFCC’s move against the CJN.

Spokesperson for the anti-graft office, Tony Orilade, in his reaction, said the news could injure the country’s interest.

According to Premium Times, Orilade, who spoke at the conference of Online Publishers Association of Nigeria which is underway in Abuja, said if both men failed to disclose useful information, they may not be released on time.
