Opening Of Worship Centres Pleases God – CAN

The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) says God is pleased with the opening of worship centres across the country.

Spokesman for the CAN President, Pastor Adebayo Oladeji, disclosed this on Tuesday in an interview with THE WHISTLER while reacting to the lifting of restriction on worship places in the country.

Recall that the Presidential Taskforce (PTF), on COVID-19, on the directive of President Muhammadu Buhari, on Monday lifted the restriction placed on places of worship as a measure to contain the spread of the Coronavirus.

According to Oladeji, the closure of worship places is not acceptable to God. He expressed thanks to God for “opening the eyes of our government to the reality.”

He said it was a welcome development, saying that “It is our prayers that God will surely deliver Nigeria from the pandemic in Jesus Name.”

He noted that the church was ready for the reopening and willing to follow the guidelines put in place by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).

The CAN president’ spokesman further disclosed that the association has already directed all churches to keep to the hygienic regulations whenever they meet and to pray for the victory over COVID-19.

He equally said the new development was “as a result of our meeting with the religious leaders.”

Furthermore, he said “If Christians and Muslims return to their worship places to pray for victory over COVID-19, God will surely answer us.”
