Osifo Emerges New PENGASSAN President

Festus Osifo has emerged the new President of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers Association of Nigeria.

Osifo who was formerly in Total Nigeria Plc was announced as the President after he defeated Roland Frederick of Shell Petroleum by 200 to 183 votes.

The election conducted during the 6th Triennial National Delegates Conference held in Abuja had in participation a total of 384 delegates drawn from the association’s branches nationwide.

Osifo who is now the 16th President of the association had served as the Non-executive Director of Heiwa Africa, Chairman of PENGASSAN Producers’ Forum and Chairman of Total Banch of PENGASSAN.

During the election, Duru Mathew was voted as the Deputy President, while Victor Ononokpono emerged as the National Treasurer.

Other members of the executive council of PENGASSAN are Dan’azumi Kabiru,( National Financial Secretary); Ogbuwu Charles (National Auditor 1) and Olabiyi Bosun, (National Auditor 2).
