Osimhen Reportedly Seals Tottenham Move As City Wants Nwakali

The North London club have been keeping tabs on the goal poacher and have completed a deal with the 16-year-old striker.

The teenage striker scored 39 goals in 71 games during the Golden Eaglets preparatory matches and the CAF U-17 Championship.

Osimhen, who finished as the highest goalscorer at the just concluded FIFA U-17 World Cup in Chile, with 10 goals, was watched by top European sides at the tournament and it seems Mauricio Pochettino’s side has won the race to sign the striker.

Meanwhile, in a telephone chat with Naij.com, former national U17 coach, John Obuh urged the golden Eaglets not to rush to foreign clubs, as they are still in their teen age.

He said: “The boys have really tried and they surpassed expectations. I just hope they will not rush to foreign clubs. They should learn from their predecessors.

“In fact they should return to the local league, where they will graduate to the Under 20 category; by then, they would have been matured.”

Elsewhere, Nigerian U-17 captain, Kelechi Nwakali is said to be targeted by English Premier League giant, Manchester City.
