Osinbajo, Obasanjo Discuss Biafra-Exit In Abuja

‎Acting President Yemi Osinbajo and former President Olusegun Obasanjo are currently at a conference discussing the lingering Biafra agitation.

The event tagged, ‘Biafra: 50 Years After’, was organised‎ by the Shehu Musa Yar Adua Foundation to mark the 50th anniversary of the end of the war which resulted in the death of about 1.5 million women and children who died of starvation.

Some of the personalities present are Ahmed Joda, John Nnia Nwodo, Pat Utomi, Osita Chidoka, and Hakeem Baba Ahmed.

Speaking at the event, former President Olusegun Obasanjo said engaging in dialogue with those agitating for an independent state of Biafra is a way to resolve the issue.

According to him, “We should even appeal to those saying they want to go, we should not tell them to go, we should make them understand that there is enough cake to share.”
