The suspects were charged to court over their alleged involvement in the invasion, vandalism and looting of public and private property across the state during the violence which trailed the #EndSARS protests.

The Special Adviser to the Osun State Governor on Security, Mrs Abiodun Ige, said the 69 persons were later remanded in the Ilesa Custodial Centre.

Governor Adegboyega Oyetola had given a 72-hour ultimatum to those who have looted property in their possession to return them and get amnesty while those caught with looted items after the expiration of the ultimatum would face the full wrath of the law.

Ige stated that law enforcement agents were working with the government to further maintain peace and stability in the state.
