Osun Rerun: Voting Ends To Decide Adeleke, Oyetola’s Fate

There are indications that the Osun governorship rerun has come to a conclusion as voting exercise has ended in all seven polling units where results were cancelled in the September 22 election in the state.

According to reports, voting ended at about 12: 52 om in Ife South, Olode Ward 07, PU12 in Adereti village in the state.

Ife South is a stronghold of the governorship candidate of Social Democratic Party (SDP), Senator Iyiola Omisore, who on Wednesday agreed to form an alliance with the All Progressives Congress (APC) to enable the ruling party’s candidate, Isiaka Oyetola, defeat Senator Ademola Adeleke of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Many political observers expect that the candidate of the APC will be at advantage in the rerun election, especially as Omisore had agreed to help the ruling party.
