Outrage As Nigerian Man Claims God Instructed Him To Marry His Sister

25-year-old Chiadikobi Ezeibekwe, a mathematics teacher at a secondary school in Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State, has reportedly wedded his 17-year-old blood sister, claiming God instructed him to do so.

Ezeibekwe, quoting bible passages to support his claim, said: “One advantage of doing this is that it discourages divorce. It also retains family values and norms.”

“I don’t feel guilty. I don’t feel ashamed. I don’t feel intimidated in any way. Only God can stop us,” he continued.

However, the youth in the village were said to have set ablaze the Dwelling Fullness of God Church, the church where they were reported to have conducted the wedding.

Punch reports that the duo was joined by their elder brother Chijioke Ezeibekwe who was said to be a priest at the church.

The eldest son of the family, Emeka Ezeibekwe vowed to resist their union.

He said, “It’s over my dead body that they will call themselves husband and wife. It can’t happen.”

Another member of the community said the couple were new converts of the church.

“Since they were baptized into the church, about two years ago, they have engaged in weird and rebellious behaviour as well as false teachings.

“Because of their rebellious attitude and false teachings, we have since excommunicated them,” he said.
