How The Controversy Began

Sadau posted pictures on her social media pages. In the picture, the actress wore a stylishly blended dress with an open back trimmed to fit her backside.

The tug of war between the social media users forced the actress to delete the pictures and apologise.

What Sharia Law Says About Blasphemy

According to Islam, blasphemy is when a person disrespects or abuses important personalities for Islamic religion.

Though Sadau has not been sentenced yet, but if she’s arraigned in court over blasphemy, the punishment would be death according to sharia law.

This has sparked lots of reactions from Nigerians, with some warning against Sadau’s prosecution merely because she shared racy photos on social media.
