Over 40 passengers have escaped unhurt after a Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) gutted fire along Ikorodu road in Lagos State on Monday.
According to reports, the BRT which was headed to Tafewa Balewa Square (TBS) bus terminal from Ikorodu when it went up in flames at Idiroko, before Anthony bus stop.

Some Twitter users who shared first-hand accounts of the incident, said the situation had caused gridlock in the area as commuters were stuck on transit, while others navigated alternative routes to their destinations.
There has been no official statement from the state government as of the time of filing this report.
