Over 8,000 Boko Haram Terrorists Have Surrendered – Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari has disclosed that over 8000 Boko Haram Terrorists have surrendered to the military in the northeastern region of Nigeria.

Buhari disclosed this while delivering a state broadcast to the nation on the occasion of the country’s 61st independence anniversary.

The president noted that in the last four months, the military and other security agencies have made tremendous progress in addressing the new security challenges.

“In the North East alone, over 8000 Boko Haram Terrorists have Surrendered,” he said.

He mentioned that the Federal Government was taking the fight against “our enemies from all angles and we are winning”.
