Oyo-Ita Speaks At 2018 Mo Ibrahim Forum In Kigali

The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Ms. Winifred Oyo-Ita, is among the panelists at the 2018 Ibrahim Forum holding on Saturday in Kigali, the Rwandan capital.

This year’s topic focuses on “Public Services in 21st Century Africa”, with Oyo-Ita expected to be on the second session focusing on “Assessing the Supply”.

According to the organisers, the session is aimed at addressing the challenges in building services and capacity in fragile setting, amongst other issues as regards public service delivery.

Amongst other things, this year’s edition will also celebrate the 2018 Ibrahim Prize Laureate, former President of Liberia, Ellen Johnson Sirleaf.

Present and former African presidents are currently in Kigali for the conference.

Oyo-Ita, who boasts more than three decades in the public service, is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).

Prior to her appointment as the Head of Civil Service of the Federation in 2015, she was Permanent Secretary in the Federal Ministry of Science and Technology, and also served as Perm Sec Federal Ministry of Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs.
