Oyo State Govt Suspends Female Student For Hiring Hoodlums To Assault Teachers In School

Oyo State Government has announced the suspension of a female student of Jericho High School, Ibadan for allegedly hiring hoodlums to assault teachers and parents during a Parent Teacher’s Association held at the school.

The suspension was announced in a statement on Tuesday by the Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Rahman Abdu-Raheem.

The girl was also said to have together with her mother hired hoodlums, who unleashed terror on those attending the meeting.

A male student of the school was reportedly assaulted during the school invasion.

The statement read, “Oyo State Government has suspended a female student of Jericho High School, Ibadan.

The commissioner said, “The student in company with her mother, recently invaded the school with hefty thugs and miscreants assaulting a male student, teachers and other parents during an ongoing PTA meeting.

“The mayhem was said to be ignited by the girl’s mother and other accomplices, thereby causing tension in the school.”

The commissioner expressed displeasure about the incident, saying government was taking further action, to serve as a deterrent to other parents and pupils.
