Reports emerged in Spain earlier this week, stating that the 27-year old is considering leaving Arsenal at the end of the season, adding that the German had already instructed his agent to look for another club for him.
However, the Germany international, who is away on international duty with his country ahead of facing England on Saturday, has now dismissed the rumours.
The midfielder took to his twitter handle to reaffirm his commitment to Arsenal and Arsene Wenger.
He said: “Have seen the media reports today,” he tweeted. “Arsene Wenger was a big reason for me joining Arsenal – this hasn’t changed! #Respect #AFC”

Ozil joined Arsenal from Real Madrid in 2013, in a deal worth £42.5million, on a £150,000-a-week agreement.
Though yet to agree to a new deal at the Emirates, manager, Arsene Wenger confident the 27-year old will put pen to paper on an improved deal in the summer.
Ozil made it clear just last month that he is enjoying his time at the north London club. “I’m happy to play for such a big club and happy to live in London,’ Ozil said.
“I love London. I go to museums, parks, restaurants – all the normal things.”
The German has scored eight goals, with a record 18 assists in the English Premier League this season.
