PAMO University Invites Applications For New Academic Session

PAMO University of Medical Sciences (PUMS), Port Harcourt, Rivers State is inviting applications for admissions into under graduate degree courses for the 2018/2019 academic session.

PUMS is a private university committed to quality and excellence in medical education, research and health services.

The university offers five- year degree programmes in Medical Laboratory Science, Nursing Science, Physiotherapy and Radiography & Radiation under the Faculty of Allied Sciences.

The Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences offer four- year degree courses in Anatomy, Biochemistry, Human Nutrition & Dietetics, Pharmacology and Physiology, while the Faculty of Clinical Sciences offer a six year programme for the Bachelor of Medicine & Surgery.

Candidates seeking admission into the university are expected to have sat for the 2018/2019 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and possess five (5) credit pass at SSCE (or equivalent) in relevant subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English Language and Mathematics), in not more than two (2) sittings and must have scored 180 or above in the 2018/2019 UTME in relevant subjects.

Candidates awaiting SSCE result or its equivalent are also eligible to apply for admission provided the result will be available on resumption in January 2019. Also, for admission by Direct Entry (200 Level), candidates will, in addition to having five (5) O’ Level credits, possess at least two (2) A’ Level or its equivalent for programmes other than MBBS.

For MBBS, applicants must possess at least three (3) ‘A’ Level or its equivalent passes in relevant subjects or a good first degree in a related fieldnot below Second Class Lower as the case may be.
