Patronise Lawal Daura At Your Own Risk, DSS Warns Nigerians Against Ex-Boss

The Department of State Services (DSS) has warned the public against going through its sacked former Director-General, Mr Lawal Daura, to engage the services of the agency.

The DSS warned on Tuesday that anyone or group that patronises Mr Daura on its behalf, does so at their own risk.

Recall that the former DSS DG was disgraced out of office on August 7, 2018, after officials of the Service invaded the National Assembly on his alleged orders.

The warning by the DSS followed previous reports that Mr Daura still influences the internal affairs of the agency.

“While the Service debunks this false belief, it warns that any person or group that further engages him or his representatives/associates does so at their own peril,” DSS spokesperson, Peter Afunanya, said in a statement.

“The Service will not tolerate acts of impersonation designed to undermine it and will decisively deal with person(s), no matter how highly placed, that may engage in such behaviour.

“The public should, therefore, note this and avoid circumstances under which unsuspecting persons may be,” Mr Afunanya said.
