PDP Governors Hail Dickson On Supreme Court Victory

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Governors Forum, has congratulated Governor Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa State on his victory at the Supreme Court.
“We congratulate our brother, Barr. Seriake Dickson, whose election as the Governor of Bayelsa State has been upheld by the Supreme Court. The judgment of the apex court is one of hope, and a victory to democracy. It has restored the hope of the common man and Bayelsans who trooped out to choose their leader during the December 2015 election,” the governors said in a press statement signed by the Secretary of the Forum, Mr. Patrick Okon.
The forum restated its confidence in the judiciary, stressing that “We believe in the judiciary to right the wrong. Judiciary is the last hope of the common man and we believed it will do the right thing in the case of the Bayelsa Governorship tussle and we were not disappointed.

“Though some people tried, the judiciary stood its ground and was not allowed to be manipulated by selfish-minded people to fulfil their whims and caprices.
“We have strong regard for the judiciary and we appreciate how it discharged its duty to the admiration of all.
“Now that Governor Dickson has been declared the right person to occupy the governorship position in Bayelsa State, he will be able to concentrate more in delivering the dividends of democracy to the people of the state.”
The forum also its expressed gratitude to the people of Bayelsa State for their support throughout the legal fireworks, and enjoined them to continue in same spirit so as to enable the governor succeed.
