The statement read, “The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) holds its expanded caucus meeting on Monday, March 4, 2019 Venue: National Secretariat, Wadata Plaza, Abuja. Time: 12 noon.”

This will be the first time the party will be holding a caucus meeting after its defeat in the 2019 presidential election.

Although, the agenda of the meeting was not stated, it is speculated that the meeting is not unconnected to the forthcoming governorship and state assembly elections.

The meeting may also address the plan of the party to challenge the result of the 2019 presidential election in court.

Buhari had polled 15.2m votes while Atiku had gotten 11.3m votes.
