PDP Rep Who Rejected Gov Wike’s Gift Plans Defection To APC With 5000 Supporters

A member Representing Eleme / Oyigbo / Tai constituency of Rivers State in the House of Representatives, Chisom Promise Dike, has described Governor Nyesom Wike’s administration as nepotist, and revealed his plans to defect to the All Progressive Congress.

The Rep member stated this in a meeting with his supporters where he also hinted about his desire to dump the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) over alleged poor treatment from the governor.

He said: “We are leaving PDP for good. Let us leave it for them so they will enjoy every empowerment the governor has. I have been in PDP all these years and the governor said he does not know who I am, he does not know me from Adam. So what is he saying?

“He is telling you that if he does not know me, he doesn’t know all of you that believe in me. He has chosen his own people and those are the people he is empowering so I think for our own good, we should leave and this is the right time to make this decision”.

Dike said plans were underway to officially defect to the APC with 5000 supporters.

He said: “We are looking at moving with about 5,000 persons on that day. We need to tell the state and Oyigbo People that we are the ones that make things happen in this Local Government Area. Let is go and join our brothers in APC. All of us can collaborate together.

THE WHILSTER had reported in August that the Rep member rejected the SUV gift giving to all members of the National Assembly by the governor.

Instead he asked the governor to use the money to repair dilapidated roads in his constituency.
