PenCom Implores RSA Holders To Submit NIN, BVN
The National Pension Commission (PenCom) has directed all Retirement Savings Account (RSA) holders, to approach their PFAs with their NINs and Bank Verification Numbers, as well as other mandatory biodata information.
This was contained in a statement by the Head, Corporate Communications PenCom, Peter Aghahowa.
“To enable the Pension Industry comply, the National Pension Commission (PenCom) has directed all Pension Fund Administrators (PFAs) to update the records of their clients. Consequently, all Retirement Savings Account holders, both active and retired, are hereby advised to approach their PFAs to provide their NINs and Bank Verification Numbers, as well as other mandatory biodata information,” he said.
Aghahowa, however, clarified the directive to be in line with the Federal Government mandate for every Nigerian to have a National Identification Number (NIN).
Hence in achieving the mandate, the PenCom official added that all data generating organisations have been implored to harmonize their databases with the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), whose mandate is to implement the National Identity System in Nigeria.
