PHOTOS: Buhari Holds Bilateral Meetings With Ramaphosa, Talon At Opening Of TICAD7 In Japan

President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday attended the opening ceremony of the 7th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD7) in Yokohama, Japan.

TICAD7 was declared open by the Prime Minister Shinzo Abe of Japan and was attended by leaders of different countries from around the world.

President Buhari, on the sideline of the conference, held bilateral meetings with Presidents Patrice Talon of Benin Republic and Cyril Ramaphosa of South Africa.

The meeting which had Nigeria’s foreign affairs minister Mr Geoffery Onyeama in attendance, is expected to discuss, aside bilateral issues, xenophobic attacks on Nigerians in South Africa.

He is also expected to deliver a speech on the relationship between Nigeria and Japan at the ongoing conference.

Also expected to deliver speeches at TICAD7 are Egyptian President Al Fatah Elsisi, United Nations (UN) Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres, and the Chairman of African Union (AU), Musa Faki Mohammed, among others.
