PHOTOS: Clash As Hoodlums Break Into NYSC Camp Abuja, Loot Materials, Others

Suspected hoodlums on Tuesday stormed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) camp at Kubwa, Abuja, and were seen moving food items, mattresses, among others.

THE WHISTLER also gathered that gun shots were heard around the area as people fled.

Also, helicopters kept hovering around the area.

Eye witnesses also told our correspondent their experiences.

“They have broken into NYSC camp,” a young man told our correspondent in Kubwa.

“Assuming I heard It won’t come out; they damaged my husband’s car.

“I saw them carrying bags of rice,” another eye witness said.

Another one told our correspondent that ” NYSC is about to start orientation in two weeks time.”

Also, our correspondent witnessed a brief clash between two groups close to the Kubwa market as they were throwing stones at each other.

Recall that the Covid-19 Presidential Taskforce had on Monday, urged Nigerians to stop breaking into warehouses in search of palliatives meant for the vulnerable.

The NYSC has yet to react to the development as of the time of this report.
