PHOTOS: Trump Gets Royal Treatment During UK State Visit
President Donald Trump began his second state visit to the United Kingdom on Wednesday with a grand royal welcome. He was received with full ceremonial honours, including parades, military displays, and royal pageantry, all held under tight security.
Prince William and Princess Catherine greeted Trump and First Lady Melania Trump as Marine One landed at Windsor Castle around 12:15 pm. The royal couple escorted the American visitors to meet King Charles III and Queen Camilla.

Trump shook hands with the king as a 41-gun salute thundered across the castle grounds, mirrored by a simultaneous display at the Tower of London using historic World War I-era artillery.
According to AFP, the event was described by officials as the most extravagant military ceremonial welcome for a visiting head of state in recent memory.

More than 1,300 members of the British armed forces and 120 horses participated in the spectacle, culminating in a regal carriage procession through the Windsor estate to the iconic, nearly 1,000-year-old castle.

The UK could be looking to sway Trump, whose foreign policy remains unpredictable and has unsettled allies, especially as crises in Ukraine and the Middle East persist.
Trump’s reception reportedly surpassed the welcome he received from Queen Elizabeth II during his first state visit in 2019.

He is the only U.S. president to be granted two official state visits by the UK.

The state visit also includes a historic joint flypast featuring U.S. and British F-35 fighter jets and a performance by the Royal Air Force’s Red Arrows, another first for such an event.

Trump and Melania will also visit Queen Elizabeth II’s tomb and attend a formal white-tie banquet hosted by King Charles, where both leaders are expected to deliver speeches.
