PLATEAU: 5 Killed In Fresh Attack

A fresh attack has claimed the lives of five persons in Bassa Local Government Area (LGA) of Plateau State.

Unknown assailants reportedly killed the persons during an invasion of a village called Chando-Zrrechi (Tafi-Gana) on Tuesday.

The fresh attack came about three days after unknown persons reportedly killed 23 travelers in Jos South Local Government Area of the state.

The state government had imposed curfew on some LGAs following the attack.

The National President of the Irigwe Development Association, Ezekiel Bini, confirmed the fresh attack to Punch.

“They were in their homes when the gunmen came and killed them despite the curfew imposed by the state government,” Bini said.

He said the victims’ corpses had been deposited at the mortuary.
