Recall that last week Friday, there were violent attacks and lootings of both public and private property in the state.

Hoodlums, using the cover of #EndSARS protests, had laid siege to the state capital, where they attacked government warehouses, state office of the Nigeria Customs Service and Shoprite Mall.

Egbetokun said the suspects were apprehended following the combined efforts of other security agencies operating in the state.

He added that the looted items were also recovered from the suspects.

According to him, the violence was well-coordinated and led by hardened criminals.

Items recovered included motorbikes, bags of cement, mattresses, chairs, generators, toiletries and food stuffs.

The police boss, therefore, urged members of the public not to hide the looters but provide information that would lead to more arrests.
