Police Arrest Man For Raping Mentally Challenged Teenager In Osun
The Osun State Police on Thursday apprehended a 40 year-old-man identified as Akinola Lawrence for allegedly raping a 16 Year-old mentally challenged girl in Osogbo.
It was gathered that the suspect dragged the girl to a place behind a mosque in the area and raped her.

The incident reportedly happened at the Anglican area, Ataoja in Osogbo on November 5, 2020, when the victim’s mother, known as Remilekun, sent the girl on an errand.
The Spokesperson of the Osun State Police Command, Mrs Yemisi Opalola, who confirmed the incident said investigation had commenced into the case.
She said the suspect had been arrested and was in police custody pending the conclusion of investigation into the crime.
“The State Criminal Investigation Department is investigating the matter after that Lawrence will be charge to court,” the PPRO said.
