Police Arrest Sex Worker For Allegedly Selling 4-Month-Old Baby

The Kastina State Police Command has arrested a suspected commercial sex worker for allegedly selling her 4-month-old baby.

The State Police Spokesman, SP Isah Gambo, said the suspect, Zainab Adamu, also known as Justina, 25, allegedly conspired with her friend, Ruth Kenneth, 32, and sold the baby for N300,000.

Justina had sold the child to one Chinwindi Omeh, 43 of Ekuisigo Local Government Area of Anambra State.

The police said in the course of investigation another suspect, Chukwudi Nnali, 45, of the same address with Omeh was arrested.

Gambo said Nnali is a brother to Omeh, and was arrested for aiding and abetting the commission of the offence.

Gambo said the sums of N165,000 and N85,000 were recovered from Zainab and Ruth as proceeds of the sale of the baby while an investigation into the matter was ongoing.
