The Abia State Police Command on Wednesday paraded two suspected car thieves, one Temple Onyike and Ofudili Emmanuel in Umuahia.

Operatives of the command’s Quick Intervention Unit acting on credible information recovered three Toyota Camry cars with the following registration numbers: HU 972 EKY (LAGOS) COLOR RED; EJ 599 PHC (RIVERS) COLOR ASH and DH 991 FST (LAGOS) COLOR BLUE in the premises of one Onyike Temple, male, of Mbutu Umuga Osisioma LGA, Abia State.

The vehicles commonly known as ‘pencil light’ had been tampered with to avoid recognition by their original owners.

Also arrested along with the owner of the premises is one Ofodile Emmanuel of Ihiala, in Anambra State- a mechanic brought by Onyike Temple.

The police said the suspects have not been able to give account of the sources of the three vehicles.

Addressing newsmen in Umuahia, the State Commissioner of Police, Janet Agbede, called on anyone whose vehicle was recently stolen and matches such description to report to the Command for identification and collection.
