Police Confirm Abduction Of Pastor’s Wife, Daughters In Abuja

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has confirmed the abduction of a woman and her two daughters from Pegi community in Kuje Area Council of the federal capital.

The police command’s spokesperson, Daniel Ndipraya, confirmed the incident to THE WHISTLER through a text message on Monday.

The abducted victims were identified as the wife and two daughters of a pastor.

They were reportedly whisked away by armed men who invaded their residence at about 11 pm on Saturday.

The pastor, Gabriel Oladapo, was said to have been away when the incident occurred.

Reports said the assailants invaded his home by damaging the barb wire and then scaling through the fence.

The Chairman Pegi Community Development Association, Taiwo Aderibigbe, who confirmed the incident to newsmen decried the spate of kidnappings in the area.

Aderibigbe expressed worries over the inability of security agencies to solve the issue while he called on the police to come to their aid.

The police, however, told this newspaper that it was doing all it could to rescue the victims.

“Efforts are being made by the command to ensure that the victims are rescued,” said Ndipraya.
