Police Hide Identities Of Officers ‘Identified And Detained’ For Beating Man To Stupor

The Police Complaint Response Unit has disclosed that it had identified three police officers who appeared in a viral video where they are seen hitting a man repeatedly on his head and body with baton and other hard objects.

The police unit however did not disclose the identities of the officers or command where they serve.

The policemen were seen bizarrely mishandling their victim in public,with all the 3 officers hitting him at the same time.

THE WHISTLER observed that the Police Compliant Response Unit had responded immediately to the video, dated January 6, saying “Your complaint is hereby acknowledged and investigation has been initiated. ”.

The unit disclosed that its investigation had yielded the identity of the officers but failed to give any more information to the public.

The complaint body also revealed that the officers were undergoing an orderly room trial.

“Further development will be communicated asap (as soon as possible),” it said.

This newspaper had contacted me O/C Public Complaint Bureau, SP Salisu Abubakar Agaisa, but he did not respond to calls and text messages sent to him.
