Police Rescue Victim After 6 Weeks In Kidnappers’ Den

Zamfara State Police Command says it has rescue one Mudassiru Malan along the Maradun Kaura Namoda axis of the state after six weeks in the captor’s den.

The command disclosed this via a statement signed by its spokesperson, Muhammed Shehu, on Tuesday.

The police said Malan was rescued at the weekend by the Police Tactical Operatives in Conjunction with the Vigilante group in the area.

The abductee who hails from Sabon garin Rini Village in Bakura Local Government Area of the state was said to have been rescued without any injury sustained.

The statement attributed the rescue to the ongoing, “assault on identified bandits’ location in the state, coupled with an extensive search and rescue of the abducted victims by the Police operatives in Collaboration with other security agencies and Vigilante across the state”.

While handing over the rescued victim to the administrator of Bakura LGA, the State’s Commissioner of Police, Ayuba Elkanah, assured the residents that the Police alongside other security agencies will sustain the ongoing onslaught against the assailants.

“So that other abducted victims who are currently in captivity at various locations are rescued and reunited with their families,” the commissioner said.
