Polytechnic Worker Who Sexually Abused Teenage Daughter Begs For Forgiveness

A worker of the Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo, Usman Momoh, who was accused of sexual abuse by his daughter, Fatima, has been arrested and paraded by the Ondo State Police Command.

Momoh begged for forgiveness while being paraded at the Ondo State Police Command Headquarters on Friday. He confessed to committing the crime but said he had sex with his daughter only once.

Fatima had, in a video that has gone viral, accused her father of sleeping with her for a very long time.

She said whenever she refused to allow the father to have sex with her, he would send her out of the house at midnight

Momoh asked members of the public
to forgive him, saying he had realised his mistake. He also stated that he did not know what came over him when he committed the incestuous act.

The Chairperson of the Ondo State chapter of International Federation of Women Lawyers, Bola Ogundadegbe, said the prosecution of the suspected was the responsibility of the police.

She said the victim would be counselled psychologically to enable her to come out of her current state of depression.

“We are going to give her psychological support. She needs our support morally because she is not stable,” the FIDA chairperson stated.
