Port Harcourt Refinery Restreamed, Now Producing 5m Litres Daily

“It is not in full capacity. Production is between three and five million litres daily,” the Group General Manager, Public Affairs of the NNPC, Garuba Deen Muhammad said.

Muhammad further said that Warri and Kaduna refineries were gearing up for production over the next couple of weeks.“We have begun to supply crude to the refineries, but we are waiting to build up crude reserves before we fire them up in the next two weeks or so,” he said.

The re-streaming of the refinery, which had been down for months due to poor maintenance and shortage of crude feedstock, the management said, was aimed at optimising available capacity at the plant to alleviate the suffering of Nigerians in accessing petroleum products, particular premium motor spirit (petrol).
