Post Graduate Student Treks 176 KM To Congratulate Kano Governor On Supreme Court Victory

Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State on Tuesday received Nura Ali Batsari, a post graduate Student who trekked 176 kilometers from his hometown in Katsina State to congratulate the governor on his recent victory at the Supreme Court.

Receiving Batsari at the government house, Governor Ganduje, represented by his Deputy, Nasiru Yusuf Gawunan said Nura’s gesture signifies a show of love and affection to the governor’s administration.

“Comrade Nura’s visit is a clear testimony of his love and affection to our administration and by extension his admiration to the numerous achievements recorded in the state,” Ganduje noted.

“Whoever comes to congratulate our government over this victory, is definitely congratulating the people of Kano State because it was their prayer that has been answered by Almighty Allah which takes us to this level,” the governor noted.

He expressed gratitude to God for his mercy in making the truth to prevail and appreciated the continued prayers and support from people like Nura Batsari whom he said had sacrificed his life to come to the state by trekking from Katsina to congratulate him on the victory.

His words “I must warmly welcome my guest Comrade Nura Ali Batsari who really sacrificed his energy and time to come to Kano and rejoice with us over our victory at the supreme court. His coming by trekking indicates his satisfaction on this administration’s commitment to do the needful in actualising it’s mandate for the good people of Kano.”

Ganduje commended members of the Katsina State House of Assembly who on Nura’s arrival, trooped to Kano Government House to also testify his love for the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Governor Ganduje in particular.

Ganduje said “As we have been told by the Hon. Members that, Nura is a disciplined, patriotic and young politician with self-reliant background who is currently pursuing his Masters Degree at Umar Musa ‘Yar Aduwa University which is very appreciable and encouraging.”

Earlier, Batsari said he decided to embark on trekking to Kano to congratulate Ganduje over his victory at the apex court.

“What drew my attention about Governor Ganduje is his commitment to change Kano into a mega city through the execution of many developmental projects as you can see any where you go in the state is worthy of emulation by other governors in Nigeria.”

According to him, the governor had succeeded in empowering the youths, women and orphans in the state to become self-reliant, a situation which he said made the Governor to be a source of pride to his people.

“Many youths have been appointed into key positions in this administration as commissioners, advisers and SSAs. Ganduje is a man who carries youth to ensure good governance and success.”
