The striking NASS workers had sealed off the assembly complex on Monday to demand payment of their salary arrears and allowances by the leadership of the National Assembly.

THE WHISTLER had however reported that following the move by the workers’ union, some police officers had on Tuesday barricaded the National Assembly, preventing free entry and exit from the premises.

Meanwhile, the President is expected to present a budget likely to be below the N9.1 trillion budget he presented to the legislative arm in 2018.

He is billed to appear before a joint session of the Assembly today to make the budget presentation.
