President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday received the victorious D’Tigress at the State House in Abuja, the nation’s capital.
The President welcomed Sam Vincent’s girls shortly before the weekly Federal Executive Council meeting, at the Council of Chambers.
Speaking at the brief occasion, President Buhari said each player will receive the sum of one million naira while the officials will get five hundred thousand naira each.

Recall that last Sunday the Nigeria Senior Women’s Basketball team were crowned 2017 Afrobasket Champions after they defeated Senegal in the finals in Mali.
The team later arrived the country on Monday receiving a heroic welcome, after they made history by winning the women championship for the first time in 12 years.
