Professor Moghalu For The Bullion Lecture 2018

Former CBN Deputy Governor, Professor Kingsley Chiedu Moghalu, is set to deliver ‘The Bullion Lecture 2018’ on March 21, at the Civic Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Moghalu has been slated to speak on ‘The Wealth of Nations and the Imperative of Economic Transformation’ at the lecture organised by the Centre for Financial Journalism (CFJ Nigeria) at 10 am prompt.

The professor and current President of the Institute for Governance and Economic Transformation was unveiled as speaker for the event by founder and Chief Executive of CFJ Nigeria, Ray Echebiri.

Echebiri, in statement on Sunday, described Moghalu as a “global leader who has made contributions to the stability, progress and wealth of nations, communities and individuals across such domains as academia, economic policy, banking and finance, entrepreneurship, law and diplomacy.”

He equally named lawyer and economist, Senator Olabiyi Durojaiye, as chairman for this year’s edition of the lecture.

The Bullion Lecture is a platform “for lively discourse on national and international issues and is always delivered by first-rate academics and professionals,” said Echebiri.

Amongst panelists at this year’s edition are Ms. Patience Oniha, Director General, Debt Management Office; Mr. Obinna Onunkwo, Managing Partner, Purple Capital; and Mr. Ade Adefeko, Vice President, Government and Corporate Affairs, Olam Nigeria.

Echebiri revealed that “Ms. Oniha will dwell topically on public debt management and economic transformation, Mr. Onunkwo will focus on private capital and economic transformation, and Mr. Adefeko will be looking at agriculture and economic transformation.”

Notables expected to grace the lecture include government officials, captains of industry and the cream of Nigeria’s banking and finance industry.

Others are members of the diplomatic corps, representatives of multilateral institutions, senior media executives and other journalists, and members of the public.
