Protest In Osun Over Fuel Price Hike

Angry residents took to the streets of Osogbo, the Osun State capital on Friday morning to protest against hike in the price of petrol and electricity tarfif.

Some of the protesters gathered at Oke Goa and marched to the popular Freedom Park from where they proceeded on the protest to streets in the state capital.

Armed with placards with various inscriptions, the protesters chanted anti-government songs as they marched through the streets.

They said Nigerians were being made to suffer untold hardship while those in power were living in affluence.

The angry protesters said the approval of President Muhammadu Buhari for the dual increment showed that he did not care about the people.
