Aljazeera reports that the protesters in Iran’s capital, Tehran, have demanded the resignation of senior leaders following the admission of authorities – after days of denials – that Iranian forces accidentally downed a Ukrainian passenger plane, killing all 176 people on board.

Ukraine’s Airline had crashed moments after taking off from the Imam Khomeini International Airport in Tehran.

Iran’s Quds forces said that the incident is regrettable, adding that its attack against US bases in Iraq was in response to the US killing of its top military leader.
