Reject PDP’s Apology, Tinubu Urges Nigerians

Nigerians have been advised to turn down the apology offered them by the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, while speaking at the 10th Tinubu Colloquium in Lagos on Thursday, said the PDP is not deserving of Nigerians’ forgiveness.

The acclaimed national leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) said the PDP allegedly stole and made fake promises for 16 years hence shouldn’t be given another chance in the 2019 presidential elections.

“Don’t take their apologies. They lied, they falsified, they changed figures. For 16 years, they made fake promises and they say don’t talk about it? It is like when you catch a thief and the thief tells you not to talk about it but tells you to go and steal your own,” said Tinubu.

“If we are not talking about it, then what are the lessons for Nigerians? To them in that party, they will not come back.

“There is a clear understanding here, there is a big difference between us and them; night and day,” said the APC leader.

Meanwhile, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo said at the colloquium that it was the corruption that took place during Goodluck Jonathan’s five years as president that destroyed the country’s economy.

“The corruption of the last five years of the last administration killed our nation. And those who did it say we cannot talk about it. We must talk about it,” said Osinbajo.
