Rivers APC: Wonders Have Ended

When I was in Government as Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, it was my first time to be involved in legitimate power struggle, that is the African politics, in its raw form.

And this one was a very tough one, almost deadly: It was between us in Rivers state, on the one hand, and against the almighty Federal government, featuring the highly strategic Nyesom Wike and Mrs Patience Jonathan and President Jonathan, all combined with all the Federal forces they could muster, including the NJC and the Nigeria Police against us, on the other hand.

It was a most distressing time. I had not been close to Magnus Abe before; even when I found myself in Government, it was not he, but Victor Giadom, who was close to Magnus, that I was close to. I only knew of him as my Senior at the Bar, with a Law office at Pan African Bank building.

I don’t want to dwell on my relationship with Magnus before now, save to say that I never had his phone number until much later, nearing the beginning of the ending of the government, when the war with the Federal government had become more ruthless and deadlier.

See what happened, which is what I want us to know here and now:

Magnus, having identified me as central to the war, from my weekly multiple publications against the NJC, fearing I might be in despair as a new comer to power struggle at that level, and thus susceptible to possible caving in expected to neophytes, made out time to see me one afternoon in my official residence. He made it a regular habit from that day.

See what the message was:

“HAG, you know and I know that this fight that involves the Federal government is not easy especially for you. I want to tell you that it’s like that.

Don’t ever allow our leader, your brother, my friend, the Governor, to be disgraced. That’s what they want to achieve.”

Magnus spoke with some kind of feeling that shows he feared that as a person new to Government and now foisted with combat against the Federal powers, I might get weary and succumb to intimidation and fear.

I didn’t assure him anything other than sincerely thanking him for his care and concern for my safety, which he also touched on.

From that first day, Magnus made it a duty to come and see me almost every week on the same or around the same theme.

This was long before he was shot at SBS Rumuola, on account of the same course which shooting, Amaechi himself, although through Ibim Semenitari, stated publicly that; from authoritative sources, Magnus took bullets meant for him, Amaechi.

It is this same Magnus that Amaechi is not only plotting day and night throughout the years since 2015, to diagrace, but also publicly called unprinted and unprintable names.

Nothing ever suggested to me that Amaechi was like that or even capable of such. I feel defrauded.

People say ‘Wonders shall never end.’ On this matter, I Worgu Boms, I say Wonders, for me, has ended.

He, Amaechi, even started hating me and others for saying it was a bad and immoral way to pay back Magnus.
He then started to inspire gullible party people to develop hatred for the person of Magnus for no reason.

Poor hapless followers, what do they know, what Will they do?

Where do they go, especially with hunger everywhere?

They queued up behind him and even started hating and maligning me for not supporting patent evil.

I don’t care! I don’t mind! Anyone is free to hate me or call me names! What does it matter?

Amaechi started raising armies against Magnus in Magnus own backyard, and that is the rising of Victor Giadom, Magnus’own boy. To Amaechi, victor being against Magnus is not betrayal.

In this matter, I have agreed with my Creator who has led thus far. Don’t bother with Worgu Boms.

I am neither available nor interested in APC Rivers leadership under Amaechi.

Never! You people should win and chop everything.

I am in APC.
I will play from my Ward 19 PHALGA.
I am absolutely uninterested in elite membership of APC Rivers State.

Don’t invite me to any APC Rivers leadership meeting that my former boss will preside.
I won’t even read the invitation letter if I know it’s the invitation. I will never attend, so don’t bother. Let Amaechi, if he will, win everything and enjoy everything.

If I had died in that struggle back in 2015, I would obviously have died in vain.
For me, Worgu Boms, I declare that it would amount to absolute ingratitude to God who preserved me alive throughout that Amaechi induced war, if after everything I now know, I continue to attend meetings where Amaechi presides.

God won’t be happy with me.
And I like to listen to God.

When this matter is over, you yourself will know.
