Road Mishaps: Anambra Inaugurates Mobile Courts To Try Erring Drivers 

To curtail the increasing cases of road mishaps which claim lives and property in Anambra State, the state chief judge, Justice O. M. Anyachebelu, Monday, appointed three magistrates to preside over mobile court sittings in the senatorial zones of the state. This followed the death of His Worship Barr Nwabachili, who was until his death, the magistrate presiding over mobile court sittings in the state.

According to the chief judge, the constitution of mobile courts and posting of the magistrates took effect from Monday, the 17th day of August, 2020.

The sector commander, Federal Road Safety Corps, Anambra State Command, in a statement issued by the acting sector education officer of the command, RC Kamal Musa, commended the state chief judge for appointing the magistrates aimed at ensuring safety on roads in the state.

Musa added that, “The sector commander said that mobile courts are one of the measures deployed by the corps to sanction erring traffic violators in order to ensure total compliance of the public to traffic rules and regulations.”
