Ronaldo Breaks Club Record as Madrid Defeat Malmo in Champions League

The Portuguese star netted his 500th and 501st goals, beating Raul’s all-time record of 323 goals for the club, and also extending his record Champions League tally to 82.

“We clearly did not handle Cristiano Ronaldo well enough as he scored two goals,” Malmö coach Hareide told press men after the match.

However, fellow group leaders Paris Saint-Germain won at Shakhtar, the Ligue 1 side and Real look set to duke it out for the top spot in Group A. The two sides are scheduled to meet in Paris on Oct. 21, with the return fixture at the Bernabeu on Nov. 3.
