Sacked U.S. Doctor Alleges Social Media Censorship Of ‘Hydroxychloroquine Video’

A member of the America Frontline Doctors, Simone Gold, has expressed concern that social media companies are blocking a recent press briefing they did, which promoted hydroxychloroquine as a cure for Covid-19 from circulating online.

She said that as medical experts, they have contributions to make on health matters.

“Social media companies are restricting accounts from sharing videos of our #WhiteCoatSummit, often blocking a clip of a physician saying there is a concerted effort to keep this information away from the public.

“Why are social media companies censoring the perspectives of trained physicians, many of whom have personally treated COVID-19 patients?,” she tweeted on Thursday.

Recall that Gold had told Fox News that she was relieved from duties after appearing on the video.

Following their disclosures at the summit, big tech companies like Facebook, Twitter and You Tube took down many of such video clips, on the grounds that their claims were untrue.

The World Health Organization (WHO) and U.S. Infectious Disease Expert, Anthony Fauci also debunked the claims of the doctors, stressing that hydroxychloroquine was not effective in curing covid-19.

But Gold claimed that the big pharmaceutical companies were trying to financially exploit the pandemic.

“There is a financial incentive for hydroxychloroquine to be discredited as an effective treatment for Covid-19.

“If hydroxychloroquine was labeled as a first line treatment, emergency use authorization for competing products would cease to exist,” she alleged.
