He scored in each of Liverpool’s three Premier League games last month, to help the Reds take seven points from nine.

The 25-year-old scored in the 3-3 draw at Watford, 1-0 win against Crystal Palace and 4-0 victory over Arsenal at Anfield.

He beat off competition from Manchester United trio Phil Jones, Romelu Lukaku and Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Chelsea’s Alvaro Morata, Huddersfield goalkeeper Jonas Lossl and fellow Liverpool team-mate Mohamed Salah.

Mane is once again primed to start as Liverpool travel to the Etihad to face Manchester City on Sunday.

Mane had an excellent debut season last year following his £34 million move to Anfield from Southampton, finishing the season with 13 goals in 27 league games for Jurgen Klopp’s side.

He is primed to travel to the Etihad Stadium with his Liverpool teammate this weekend to face Manchester City as the Premier League returns following the international break.
