Salah Ruled Out Of Egypt’s Last Group Game

Mohammed Salah has been ruled out of Egypt’s vital last group match against Cape Verde on Monday with a hamstring injury.

This is another frustrating news for the Eyptians, who have struggled in the competition so far.

Salah limped out of the 2-2 draw with Ghana on Thursday in the first half.

The Egyptian Football Association has confirmed that the Liverpool star is expected to miss the team’s next two games, which means he won’t feature if Egypt qualify for the next round.

The statement reads, “Tests on Mohamed Salah, the captain of the Egypt national team, proved that he suffered a hamstring injury and will miss the next two matches of the team at the AFCON”

Salah was on target for Egypt in the first match against Mozambique which ended 2-2.

The Pharaohs have failed to win their opening two matches in Ivory Coast and they have a must-win clash against Cape Verde on Monday.

Surprise package, Cape Verde have booked a place in the second round of the competition after beating Ghana and Mozambique.

In the last group game, Ghana, who have just a point from two games, will take on Mozambique for a place in the next round.
