President Muhmmadu Buhari has directed the Ministry of Finance and the Central Bank to release the second tranch of the London Paris club funds to states in other to ease their financial hardship.
The President gave the directive at Thursday’s National Executive Council (NEC) meeting held at the Council of Chambers, Presidential Villa, Aso Rock, Abuja.
President Buhari explained that the funds will help state governments pay outstanding salaries, adding that he will not rest until he addresses the challenges facing ailing families across the nation.
According to him, meeting the needs of citizens across the country is the only way he can show his appreciation for the love and support he has received from Nigerians.

On entering the Council Chambers President Buhari went round to shake hands with all the governors in attendance.
After the president exchanged pleasantries with the governors, Chairman of the Nigerian Governors’ Forum, Abdulaziz Yari of Zamfara State, presented a card to the President on behalf of the governors.
