Sanwo-Olu Sacks Bank-Anthony, Appoints Bolowotan New DG Lagos Sports Commission

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has appointed a new Director-General for the Lagos State Sports Commission (LSSC) in the person of Mr. Oluwatoyin Bolowotan.

Bolowotan replaces Babatunde Bank-Anthony who has been disengaged by the governor. 

Bank-Anthony had been appointed as head of the commission in 2016 by the immediate past governor of the state, Akinwunmi Ambode.

The new DG’s appointment was announced in a statement on Friday by the commission’s Director of Public Affairs, Titi Oshodi.

“Hakeem Muri Okunola, the Head of Service, says the appointment is in line with ongoing re-organisation of the state public service for efficient service delivery.

“The appointment is with immediate effect,” she said.

Bolowotan is a well-grounded sports administrator and founder of Bolowotan FC.
